


Two hundred and fifty museums on a piece of land that does not cover more than 10,000 squared kilometers of surface area. Le Marche, offering a vast range of culture, is a rich territory that was unified late and which features an endless number of cultural activities to see and visit.
Such activities range from archeology – with remains from important civilizations such as the Romans and Pycenes – to art – with paintings and sculptures coming from all types of styles and periods: from the Romanesque to the Gothic Period, from the Renaissance to the Baroque Period, from Liberty to the 1900s. There are also museums relating to history, natural science and culture. In terms of masterpieces and popular traditions, the Riviera del Cònero is a microcosm representing its region.
The richness of theaters in Le Marche is a demonstration of this land’s cultural level. There are three active theaters on the Riviera del Conero.

The renovated Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, inaugurated on the 13t of October 2002, is one of the most avant-garde theaters in the center of Italy.
